Dennis Albetski born in Massachusetts, educated at Paier College of Art in Hamden CT, has been working primarily in watercolor, oils, acrylics and pastels in the fields of illustration and fine arts.

 

Dennis’ work has earned him signature membership in such well-known watercolor societies as The American Watercolor Society, The National Watercolor Society, Pennsylvania Watercolor Society and Northeast Watercolor Society garnering him numerous awards throughout the country such as The Edgar Whitney Memorial Award, The Artist’s Magazine Award and the 2016 Joan Ashley Rothermel Memorial Award from The American Watercolor Society, the Gold Medal of Honor and The Sylvan Grouse Medal from the Pennsylvania Watercolor Society plus many First Place and Best of Show in national all media and watercolor exhibits.

 

His paintings have been exhibited in many solo, group and traveling shows in many museums and universities around the nation such as the Owensboro Museum of Fine Arts in Owensboro, Kentucky, The Wichita Falls Museum in Texas and the Anchorage Museum of History and Art in Anchorage, Alaska.

 

He has also been published in The Artist’s Magazine , Fine Art Connoisseur,  The 6th edition of the college textbook Design through Discovery by Marjorie Elliot Bevlin, Strokes of Genius 2: Light and Shadow, Splash 11: New Directions, Splash 18: Value, Separating light and dark by Rachel Rubin Wolf and Art Journey Animals by Jamie Markle, editor.
